An excellent day of racing up and down the country.
It's nice to have the jumps back with a good meeting at Chepstow whilst at Newmarket, one of the biggest betting races of the season takes place, the Cesarewitch at 3:40. Certainly something for everyone this afternoon.
At Chepstow in the 1:42, Age Of Sail was the best of these on the level and that’s the only thing you can go on at this stage. The Alan King runner has a nice profile for jumping but was a 8lb inferior flat horse. I’d take on the favourite with Age Of Sail for that reason only.
Plenty of bookies are paying 6 places in the Cesarewitch, my pin has fallen on Call My Bluff EW at 16-1 who is a proper stayer and will be keeping on when plenty can’t. He perhaps doesn’t have the quality to win, but should give you a solid run for your money.
Staying at Newmarket, Desert Order 4:15 holds standout form and should run well.
At huge odds, Andromedas Kingdom 5:30 Curragh is going to pop up at some stage. 50-1 EW at the moment.
