Monday 8th September 2014 - Winner!

It was a fantastic day at Fontwell with Gran Maestro who won by 5 lengths for his owners.

Shareholders had plenty to shout about and certainly made themselves heard when GM ridden by Sam Twiston Davies moved into the lead before powering up the hill. Their horse looks progressive over hurdles and will be a lot of fun going forward.

It was great to get back in the winners enclosure, the champagne went down a treat whilst watching a replay of the race in the connections winning room.

Owners with huge smiles on their faces, that’s what it’s all about.

I’m delighted to get a win in such a short space of time with Gran Maestro, he looks a nice buy off the flat goes to show you don’t have to spend a fortune on horses.

Trainer Dr Richard Newland has done a superb job.
