Guinness Affair was a good winner for his owners at Newton Abbot yesterday. The track didn't play to his strengths but his ability and excellent ride from Gavin Sheehan got the job done. This win was Guinness Affair's fifth from just eight starts.

A switch to the flat today with Howth who is running in the £150,000, Old Newton Cup at Haydock. Luke Morris rides.

We need the rain to stay away whilst the step-up in trip is a question mark. Howth also needs to prove he's good on turf as he is the AW, has won on grass for previous owners. He won't be disgraced by any means if the previous is all ok, he's a smart horse.
