I placed a few Cheltenham Festival bets yesterday now the majority of bookies are going NRNB.

Supreme Hurdle – Buveur Dair EW 7-1.

Yarnworth & Thistlecrack EW double pays just under 4-1 and looks a bet to nothing. Neptune Hurdle & World Hurdle respectively.

Yarnworth and Thistlecrack don’t need any explaining as to why I’ve backed them. Buveur Dair looks fair value and I prefer him to Altior, the shorter priced horse Nicky Henderson runs.

I didn’t like Altior win at Cheltenham back in November and thought he would have been beaten by Maputo if that horse didn’t go lame close home. Buveur Dair has really taken the eye in his two wins over hurdles, I liked the way he travelled just behind the pace but showed a real turn of foot on both occasions.

The horse also handles soft ground and that looks likely come this time next week, you need to stay further than two miles to win the Supreme Hurdle such is the pace it’s run at. Buveur Dair will require two miles four plus going forward as he looks a big strong type. The 7-1 looks ok value and I see him giving Min most to do.

Shares in our new horse Milrow have been very popular and rightly so, Milrow was gelded yesterday, 3 shares are left.
