Although we’ve had no runners since Settimo Milanese excellent 2^nd place at Aintree ten days ago, last week was a very busy one. I was at the Newmarket sales for four days. We said goodbye to Mountain Rescue whilst purchased some new horses.

We managed to buy our number one choice for the new Northern syndicate with Donald McCain. The horse in question is called Dominating. He’s a very smart ex flat horse that stays and enjoys heavy ground. We’re going to give Dominating a mini break then crack on. Dominating will make his jumping debut early in the new year. More info on him and the other horses shortly. Shares will be available.

Settimo Milanese runs again today in the 2:35 at Chepstow. We don't really want to run again so quickly but have little choice. Settimo goes up 5lb from Friday, this will be the last chance to run in a 0-125.

We bumped into a smart horse at Aintree, Ready And Able. He looked to have pounds in hand and likely a good bit more. Settimo Milanese finished 6 lengths clear of the 3^rd placed horse in what was a good race.

Hopefully this outing won’t come a bit quick and Settimo Milanese can run another big race for his owners.
