I’m at Jamie Snowden’s yard Saturday morning with the owners of Dino Mite for their stable tour, it’s always a grand day watching horses work on the stunning Lambourn Gallops whilst Jamie and his team are super hosts and spends a lot of time with us.

Members are treated to a cooked breakfast afterwards at the local pub, this always goes down well after a busy morning whilst it gives owners the chance to socialise and get to know each other, WINNING TOGETHER.

The weather has certainly changed this week, some good frosts followed by bucket fulls of rain, touch wood the weather holds in Lambourn tomorrow morning.

I’ve had a quick look through the cards for Saturday this afternoon “Friday".

With the going soft / heavy i’m happy to keep stakes small as the ground will be very testing and horses will need to stay very well.

At Doncaster the likes of Jack Dexter in the 2:25 should relish conditions and be on everybody’s shortlist for the race.

The November handicap is arguably the big flat race of the day “3:35”, at a huge price of 33-1 Ardlui might just outrun his odds.

This race will be a real slog and runners will need to stay much further than the actual distance of a mile four plus have previous form on bad ground. The Tim Easterby trained runner has both and seems to be running much better of late after a slow start to the season.

Over at Wincanton if Rock On Ruby is fit as the majority of trainer Harry Fry’s horses he should have a great chance in the Elite Hurdle despite carrying top weight. The 4-1 looks a ver fair price and not far off money back if only placed.

If Rock On Ruby is ready to rumble he should be in the first 3 at worst with a clear round.
