A fun evening is ahead, we venture North with two runners, both at the lovely Thirsk racecourse. Kotyonok and Val De Travis run. Before that, a stable visit at David Pipe’s took place this morning for the owners of Awesomedude and Nibras Gold.

Kotyonok runs first in the 6:35. It’s Koty’s debut, he’ll need further than a mile, but certainly has a future from what we see at home. In time, Kotyonok will go jumping as he’s a big, strong horse.

Vale De Travers runs an hour later at 7:35. Travis didn’t handle Catterick last time out, Thirsk should be more to his liking in what looks a competitive race for the grade.

Plenty of good racing up and down the country.

Godolphin could have another very good day, Walk Of Stars in the Derby Trial at 2:40, After The Rain 4:40 Ascot both look to hold very strong chances along with others throughout the day.

Some of our trainers have runners in valuable races, Kevin Philippart De Foy is positive for a big day at Ascot in a couple of big field races with good money on offer, he's hopeful of big runs. Mick Appleby runs five at Nottingham.
