It’s been a steady week so far on the racing front, the weekend however will see some super racing on offer.
Kalashnikov was impressive when winning at Plumpton on Monday. He jumps well and looks ready for a harder test after two easy wins. If he’s the Arkle winner I’m not sure at this stage. Kalashnikov deserves to be the joint favourite though on what we’ve seen so far.
The racing from Sandown on Saturday will be very exciting. Altior is set to make his seasonal debut in the Tingle Creek. Sceau Royal and Un De Sceaux will be trying to give him a race. Aintree looks set to hold a good day of racing too. The Beacher Chase over the National fences will be the feature.
Speaking of National’s, at Kelso on Sunday we’ll have West Of The Edge running in the Borders version. We need rain beforehand and plenty of it.
