Like all good EW bets Kingsmere was 4th on Wednesday, the jumping worries highlighted back over a fence unfortunately proved correct as the selection was going well until hitting two out and losing all chance, we will never know what might have happened but Kinsgmere would have been a lot closer at the finish and remains nicely handicapped, he will pop in at some point.
I’ve not looked at today’s racing in great detail as I’m off to Aintree with the owners of Dino Mite who runs in the 12:30. Dino makes her hurdling debut and runs for Value Racing Club for the first time in the fillies Juvenile Listed race. It’s a huge ask but were running here instead of a lesser task due to the going being decent whilst we would much prefer just to take on the girls first time out. We’re just looking for a bit of promise and for Dino to enjoy the experience, anything better than a top 6 finish will be grand.
Arguably the big race of the day is the Tingle Creek at Sandown, I’m quite a fan of God’s Own and believe the horse hasn't been given the credit he deserves, God's Own would be my selection to come out on top at 4-1 whilst I wouldn’t be surprised if Somersby ran a nice race.
Staying at Sandown in the 12:20 the Venetia Williams trained Aso really caught my eye when winning at Warwick, I loved the way he jumped and went about his job. This race is a step up in class but the 15 length win was very impressive, priced at 4-1 EW I hope Aso can be placed at worst.
