Golden Horse denied Treve winning a 3rd Arc de Triomphe on Sunday, it was a case of bitter sweet for Frankie Dettori who lost the ride on her last year.

Frankie gave Golden Horn an outstanding ride from a very difficult draw, he used all his big race experience and kept wide from the stalls racing alone before cutting in and securing the perfect racing position.

Meanwhile, Treve looked to pull her chance away and didn’t settle, she was also given a poor ride and had to race five off the rails. Treve hung up the home straight too and possibly didn’t like the firm going, she finished 4th in the end and has been retired.

John Gosden has done a brilliant job with Golden horn this season, the horse proved he’s top class whilst Frankie Dettori confirmed he’s still a top class jockey and is great for the sport.

I’m looking forward to seeing what the Frankel yearlings fetch today at the sales, 7 horses by Frankel are going through the ring. I would expect the million pound barrier to be well and truly smashed.
