There's been some good racing in the past few days, we’ve seen potential Royal Ascot horses and the possible Derby winner in English King.

Trained by Ed Walker, English King was very impressive at Lingfield. Showing a mixture of speed and stamina, he’s now the worthy favourite for the Epsom showpiece. I was very taken by him and had a few quid at 12-1 straight after the race.

The 2000 Guineas is the feature race this afternoon. All eyes will be on Pinatubo who is the hot favourite and unbeaten in six starts so far. His opposition will need significant improvement from two to three or Pinatubo not trained on to trouble him.

It’s very difficulty to see past Pinatubo. It would be good for the sport to see him win well and have another star based in the UK.
