Just a short preview today as i'm at Dr Newland’s yard this morning with the owners of Sioux Chieftain, who are visiting their horse for the first time.

Qualify caused a huge shock when winning the Oaks, trained by Aidan O’Brien the filly got up in the final stride and beat Legatissimo right on the line.

Unfortunately the race won’t go down as a classic as the last two furlongs was like watching a bumper car race, Jack Naylor cleaned up three horses by going left then right, it was a messy race and unlikely to stay in the memory banks for very long.

My selection Crystal Zvezda lost the race in the first furlong as she just wouldn’t settle, she pulled Richard Hughes arms out and even jumped in the air for a couple of times.

As for the Derby the race doesn’t look a great renewal, if Golden Horn stays I think he will win and win well.
