We have a runner at Kempton this afternoon, Broughtons Admiral lines up in the 5:00.

The entre meeting is a Jumpers Bumpers card, basically two mile flat races for jumps horses. This extra fixture was put on due to all the National Hunt racing that was abandoned because of the beast from the east.

It’s fair to say we would prefer to be running in a Juvenile hurdle but we don’t have that option until later this month. Broughtons Admiral is ready for a run so today will serve a purpose.

If this was a hurdle race Broughtons Admiral would be up against it. Chelsea Flyer is 125 rated over hurdles and was smart in bumpers. Volpone Jelois is rated 117 and 72 on the level. Article Fifty is set for a rating of mid-120 and won a bumper in good style at Uttoxeter.

We will need a couple of the shorter priced horses to disappoint if we were to grab a place but that’s not totally impossible. These types of races are a bit of a lottery and Broughtons Admiral has run on the flat more recently than others. On paper it's a tough ask but we’ll see how we go.
