We had a super afternoon at Lingfield yesterday with Twistaline winning on debut for her owners and trainer Mick Appleby. Twisty was a cheap recruit at 7,000gns, we hoped she was on a workable rating and our way of doing things might improve her.

Twistaline was given a smart ride by Jim Crowley, he timed his run to the second and delivered Twistaline a few strides before the winning post. A great start to the year.

Another runner today, Nikolayeva makes her hurdles debut in the 12:40 at Ffos Las. This could be fun!

Eva isn't the most straight forward, you never know which Nikolayeva will turn up but she knows how to win if in the right mood. She’ll love the heavy ground.

Eva won plenty of races on the level for us with Mick Appleby, it will be interesting to see if she likes getting her hoofs off the floor.
