We had a good day at Worcester on Sunday, Included was a solid second just 48 hours after winning at Bangor. Included finished well clear of the third placed horse but didn’t quite have the flat speed of the winner. Included is a big mare and ready for a fence, I’m not sure if she’ll run again this year as good ground is important to her.

A few hours later, Settimo Milanese had his second start for us. Settimo Milanese bolted up by 29 lengths, he was been eased down from two out. Visually it was very impressive. Simon as we call him galloped he rivals into the ground, what he beat I’m not sure, but he looks a nice horse.

It was a good week with two winners secured. That’s now 10 for the year and well over £100,000 of prize money won.

Today we’re off to Stratford with Henry Smith, he won last time out at Bangor.

Stratford isn’t ideal for Henry Smith, but we thought the race might cut up and it has. Accord is a big danger, he runs very well fresh and would have achieved more over hurdles. His third at Cheltenham, not far behind Thomas Campbell is strong form. For whatever reason, Accord lost his way a little but comes here fresh. Henry Smith gives him weight as we carry a winner’s penalty.

It looks a two-horse race but it’s no gimmie. Hopefully Henry Smith can continue our good run of late.
