Uttoxeter on Sunday was one of those days that you hope might happen but don’t think for a minute it will.

Ebony Express who gave us our first big race win “Imperial Cup” was making his comeback after 477 days off the racecourse. We were hoping for a promising run at best but Ebony Express had other ideas. Ebony decided he wasn’t going to have a blow the cobwebs away outing and only went and won the competitive £10,000 race.

We thought Ebony Express had finished 2^nd and even stood in the 2^nd place spot, that position would have been better than we dare imagined. However, when Ebony was announced the winner it’s fair to say the owners in attendance went crazy and emotional at the same time.

It was a brilliant day for everybody involved and one that will live long in the memory.
