I’m keeping my powder dry this afternoon and not getting involved in today’s racing. The ground at Doncaster and Newbury will be near bottomless and results could be all over the place.

With the Cheltenham Festival, nearly upon us, I’d prefer a few extra antepost bets rather than play today.

From next week, I’ll start mentioning a few horses for Cheltenham. I’ll also be speaking with our syndicate trainers Dan Skelton, David Pipe, David Dennis & Richard Newland in a bid to get thoughts on horses they run at the Festival. A report will then be passed on to owners.
