Ebony Express was 6th at Sandown and ran the race we expected him to. The main thing was to see Ebony finish his race off and he did so much better than last time. He’s still a fair way of his best but this was a step forward after his dirty scope and hopefully he’ll keep progressing.

We have another runner today, Kenobe Star at Ludlow.

Kenobe Star ran a promising race in a good juvenile hurdle at Huntingdon, he travelled strongly until been outpaced from two out. At Exeter last time Kenobe couldn’t handle the heavy ground it was all too much for him.

I dare say it will be the same at Ludlow today as the going will be bottomless. This will be Kenobe Star’s 3rd run over hurdles and he’ll get a handicap mark, we’ll then have a few spins on the AW and wait for the ground to dry up.

The main objective this afternoon is just finish the race as I dare say a few won’t, if we can be in the first 6 or 7 that will do.
