The Epsom Derby meeting kicks off today, the highlight is the Investec Oaks where the ladies have their turn to shine.

The race is all about Minding, if she runs to form and stays, she’ll win doing handstands.

Minding is miles ahead of anything in this field and I’m more than happy to forgive her effort in the Irish 1000 Guineas where she whacked her head and ran with a large cut. Her trainer Aidan O’Brien must have a huge amount of confidence in Minding or he wouldn’t have run her just 12 days ago. If Minding was coming into the race without running in the Irish 1000gns she would be a 1-3 shot.

We can get odds against at the time of writing and that could look huge come 4:35. In summary if Minding stays she wins.
