The beast from the east and storm Emma has certainly left it’s mark on the country this week. Some of the reports shown on the news have been awful, people stuck for hours in cars and trains with no food or water in freezing conditions. I hope everybody reading this has managed to stay warm and safe.
We hoped to run Broughtons Admiral yesterday at Southwell, the jumpers bumpers card. Unfortunately, a four feet snow drift put paid to that, the horsebox was snowed in at Alastair Ralph’s. Broughtons Admiral holds entries for Kempton on Monday. We’ll see what the weather does in the next 24 hours, no race is worth risking when it’s not safe to drive.
Just the AW racing today, all jumps fixtures have been abandoned. I’ve bid to find something to have a few quid on but gave up to be honest. I don’t have any interest in AW racing at this time of the year.
