Were hoping to purchase a new recruit at the Newmarket horses in training sales towards the end of this month. The catalogue came out over the weekend, just over 1500 horses will be going under the hammer.

All of the horses for sale are flat runners with a mixture of ratings from low level to Group class, we would be looking for something under the age of 5 with a flat rating in the middle 80’s.

Any possible horse that makes our shortlist must have proved it stays a minimum of one mile two furlongs whilst handles a bit of cut in the ground.

The above sales are in good timing, if successful the new purchase can be put straight out in the field ensuring it’s rested from a flat campaign. After a good break the plan going forward would be bring the new horse into training late February next year, this should result in the new recruit ready to make it’s hurdles debut in May and continue to run until October 2015.

Hundreds of hours of work will be required beforehand, we’ll work our way through the catalogue with our trainer and bid to find as much information as possible about any horse were interested in.

I’ll personally also work closely with Racing UK pundit and our club ambassador Mark Howard who can pick up the phone to the majority of trainers in the UK and find out valuable information that the majority can’t.

Just 17 shares will be available in this new partnership and they will be sold on a first come first served basis.
