Creepy was very impressive on chasing debut yesterday, this smart hurdler could reach a higher mark over fences such is the way he went about his business, I’ve not seen a more impressive novice chase debut for some time.
His trainer Martin Keighley informed the horse has been electric at home but must be kept fresh.
It will be interesting to see where Creepy goes in the coming weeks, based on yesterday’s performance he will have no trouble following up under a penalty before taking on better horses, he could be quite smart.
It’s good to see one or two exciting national hunt horses coming out now, the jump season doesn’t really get going until November but a few nice types are putting in an appearance.
Gevrey Chambertin for trainer David Pipe is one horse that fits the bill, his form tailed off towards the end of last season but he should appreciate today’s drop in class whilst his first time out form reads 111. Gevrey Chambertin can’t be backed due to been a very short price but he should get back on track this afternoon and go onto better things.
Nothing catches the eye for punting it’s been a quite week so far however the declarations for Ascot look interesting on Saturday.
