For 90% of the race, Milrow looked like winning at Market Rasen. We had everything beat 2 out, all of our rivals were been pushed along but Milrow was still on the bridle in 2^nd place. Unfortunately, it went wrong from there and the petrol tank was on empty jumping the last. Milrow had a really hard race two weeks ago and that took its toll. We were a bit concerned before the race this outing might come a bit quick and so it proved.

We’ll give the horse a few weeks in the field now and re-charge the batteries, Milrow had a flat campaign before we purchased him and it’s just caught up with the horse.

With National Hunt racing now taking a mid-summer break our flat horse Mountain Rescue will keep us ticking along and might run later this week.
