We were delighted with Ebony Express debut win at Carlisle yesterday, it was a very taking performance and he looks an excellent recruit to national hunt racing. Ebony had been working well at home and showing he was a very good ex flat horse but yesterday’s effort although we were hopeful of a good run looked very classy.

It’s important we don’t get carried away and keep our feet on the floor as Ebony needs to back this effort up whilst his jumping also needs more work, however he’s exciting and looks an absolute bargain at 27,500gns.

This was the clubs 5^th winner of the year and were running at a near 50% strike rate, long may it continue.
