The best of the racing this weekend takes place in France, The Arc de Triomphe is run on Sunday. No thoughts on the race just hope it's an English winner, we look to have chances.

At Newmarket today, I hear Charlie Appleby runs two nice horses in the 3:17 and 3:52.

Imperial Emperor & Military Order both work very nicely and good runs are expected.

Betting on the flat this time of the year is risky with conditions getting softer underfoot. Both of the above will have taken time / green to be making debuts this time of the season but are worth noting for today and beyond.

Two stables mornings took place this morning, David Pipe's and Rebecca Menzies, it's been a busy start to the day.

We then travel to Wolverhampton this evening with Cairn Gorm who is going to need luck from stall 10 in a max field around here. Cairn Gorm also makes his AW debut, it's a v good race for Wolverhampton and a much higher grade than normal.
