News broke last night leading owner Alan Potts has removed all of his horses from Henry De Bromhead. The partnership enjoyed huge success with the likes of Cheltenham Festival Winner Sizing Europe. Mr Potts also had one of last year’s top novices, Sizing John plus numerous other talented horses with Henry De Bromhead.

The removal of the horses will certainly be a blow to the yard and it will be interesting to hear comments from both parties in the coming days. Jessica Harrington, Mouse Morris, Colm Murphy and Jim Dreaper will apparently be the beneficiaries.

Apart from the above is been a quite week, the racing hasn’t been great but as normal picks up on Saturday when we’re spoilt for choice. We will be heading to Fontwell on Sunday with Milrow.

A further Frankel colt makes his debut today in the 2:30 at Haydock, Swiss Storm trained by David Elsworth. A 235,000gns purchase, Swiss Storm will likely be a sprinter based on his pedigree.

David Elsworth is 3 wins from 6 runs with his 2yos at Haydock so it could be significant he’s chosen to run Swiss Storm here.

The Frankel horses are being priced up on reputation by the bookies, todays price of 11-10 very much on the short side. However, with the start the Frankel horses have made I suppose you can’t blame the bookies for not taking them on.
