It’s the start of the Epsom Derby meeting, the ladies take centre stage this afternoon in the Oaks at 4:30.

This year’s Oaks doesn’t look like a vintage renewal, I’ve tried to find some value but keep coming back to Wild Illusion. She’s miles clear on figures and achieved plenty more than her rivals. I also hear the yard couldn’t be happier with her prep.

If she stays the trip "I think she will" Wild Illusion will take a bit of beating. Odds of 5-2 look fair. Perfect Clarity could be worth an EW saver.

In the Epsom Derby tomorrow, I selected Young Rascal the day after winning the Chester Vase at 16-1. He’s now best priced 8-1, I think he’s got a fab EW chance and hopefully better.
