We’re off to Wetherby today with Sioux Chieftain who makes his hurdles debut in the 2:05. We purchased him off the level as Sioux Chieftain has the profile of a horse that could take well to hurdles and hopefully replicate his good flat form.

Sioux Chieftain has indeed taken well to jumping but it’s not been totally straight forward, he decided to cut his hock whilst having a break in the field and needed an op to clean it all up. Since coming back into training in December “Gary” as we call him has done everything nicely but we’ve not put a gun to his head at home. The horse will improve for this outing and we're just hoping for a positive debut effort.

Iniciar & Bonne Question look the two to beat, both have decent form, will be race fit and have an experience advantage over Sioux Chieftain.

The weather is set fair and the majority of his owners are making the journey so were looking forward to a decent afternoon out.
