Cheltenham trials day has succumbed to the weather. We’ve certainly seen a lot of rain of late but the ground at Cheltenham for the past couple of years has been very poor. People say Cheltenham dries quickly but that’s not the case any more, the course has been messed up by the constant watering.

Turning the sprinklers on in October is foolish, what’s wrong with good ground?

Doncaster goes ahead where we have a runner. Teescomponentslass in the at 4:25. Tees makes her debut for us.

She’s a grand mare who we like, but she isn’t a bumper horse. Standing at 16.2h, I’d be hopeful Teescomponentslass would be perhaps the best of these long term over hurdles and a fence. Tees is bred to stay, and others will likely have more speed. She’s trying her very best though and should run ok if she handles the very testing ground.
