Plenty of good flat racing today, Ascot, York, Chester & Newmarket all hold meetings. Most eyes will be on Ascot where Enable runs in the Group 1 King George And Queen Elizabeth Stakes at 3:40. Enable is one of the best mares’ we’ve ever seen, it would be great for racing if she can get her head in front again this afternoon.

Crystal Ocean will ensure Enable doesn’t have things all her own way, whilst the price difference looks a bit big between the two. Putting betting to one side, I think it’s fair to say everybody wants Enable to win.

Honest Albert was impressive when winning at Nottingham last month, he steps up in class at Newcastle in the 2:45. It will be interesting to see how he goes against more experienced horses.

Going changes have taken place at most meetings, after the heat comes the rain.

If the ground stayed on the good side, I would have been very sweet on Regal Reality in the 3:15 at York. Main danger looks to be Addeybb, who will relish any give in the ground. How bad the ground is I’m not sure, I’ll hold fire backing Regal Reality and see what the jockeys say after the first race.
