Shishkin or Energumene, Energumene or Shishkin. I’ll go with Energumene.

We head South with two runners, Cornicello and Leoncavallo who both run at Taunton. Cornicello receives the weight for age allowance and is nicely in, but because of this, takes on seasoned and battle-hardened horses.

Cornicello will have to do everything right, run and jump quicker than he’s done so before. Touch wood he does.

Leoncavallo runs in a handicap for horses aged 8 plus. Oakley is thrown in on his past form. If he gets the 2m3f trip, Oakley is the one to beat. Leon is solid though and will run his normal game race.

Elsewhere, War In Heaven was held in high regard last year but didn’t show what he does on the gallops. A wind op has taken place and if that's helped, we could see a better effort today. Horses can take a run or two too work out they can breathe so he’s one to keep an eye on. 3:05 Lingfield.
