Black Anthem won on debut for us and his owners at Stratford on Sunday. It was a good afternoon and nice to secure a winner after so many placed efforts of late. We claimed Black Anthem for just 6k and thought he was a horse that might have more to offer. Black Anthem does indeed look like a shrewd bit of business, hopefully he can win again during the summer months.

Irksa makes his debut for us today in the last at Uttoxeter. We purchased this horse privately from Ireland. Irska is going to be a lovely staying chaser and will make the switch into the winter season.

We’re keen to get some race experience into Irska before coming back later in the year, all he does is gallop and keep on going. Long term, Irska could be seen over 4 miles. Irska might not have the gears for today’s trip on such ground. It’s a nice starting point though and we'll learn plenty about him
