Carn A Chlamain won nicely for his owners on hurdles debut at Southwell. George as we call him jumped great and showed a fair turn of foot at the business end of the race. A lot of work had gone into Carn A Chlamain, he looked to have lost his way, it was a sound team turnaround effort.

Good racing today and plenty of meetings, as you would expect over the Easter holidays. We have a runner at Nottingham in the 5:07, Val De Travers makes his debut for owners.

Lots of things to learn this evening, Travis moves nicely but will improve for the run. Best efforts have come on a soft surface, the going will be good to firm this evening. He's also the only horse in the race without a recent outing, this that might tell at the business end.

It's ladies night at Nottingham, so no doubt it will be a lively meeting. We'll see how we go, it looks a fair starting point.

Excellent flat racing at Newbury, Honiton in the 4:10 and Ottoman Fleet 5:20 are horses to put in the tracker for the season ahead.
