Broughtons Admiral ran another solid race for his owners yesterday finishing 3rd despite finding Market Rasen too sharp and running out of steam in the final furlong. It was Broughtons Admiral eighth start of the season so it’s holiday time now. He’s a bonny horse, ran 13 times in total for us and got his owners in the winner’s enclosure 9 times. He’ll improve again with a summer of grass, BA is only 5 and will strengthen up through the summer.

Final Song was mentioned on here yesterday as the best 2yo filly in the Saeed bin Suroor yard. She bolted up and looks very smart. Final Song was priced at 13-2 in the morning but there was a six none runners due to the ground and returned 5-2. I don’t thing anything would have beaten her yesterday, she looks the real deal and will likely be Royal Ascot bound.

We head to Haydock today with Leoncavallo who runs in the £100,000 Swinton Hurdle. This will be Leon’s last run before holidays. Leoncavallo was unlucky not to finished placed in the Scottish Hurdle last time out. We lost three places in the final few strides in a race that suited hold up horses, Leon made the running.

Leoncavallo gave a lot at Ayr and has been on the go for a while now, hopefully he can put in one last big effort in what’s a red-hot renewal of the Swinton Hurdle.

Whilst we're at Haydock, we also have a privite tour arranged of Palace House in Newmarket for all owners. A free lunch is also been provided and it should be a really intresting day with the tour guides taking owners through the history of horse racing. A show jumping display by ex racehorses completes the day.

The Doncaster sales are two weeks away. We've had a lot of success at this two day sale and have already identified one horse that we are very keen to secure. If you would like to put your name on the waiting list for any new horse, please get in touch.
