Good news that all fixtures get the go ahead today. It’s certainly been a freezing cold and snowy week in parts. The Welsh National at Chepstow is the feature race of the day. No real thoughts on the race apart from there might not be many that finish. Lord Du Mesnil EW perhaps at 14-1.

Couple of bets I've placed. The first one is Marion’s Boy EW at 9-2, 1:40 Lingfield.

Marion’s Boy beat the favourite Sheila at Lingfield over 1m2f. Marion’s Boy then proved it got today’s trip next time with a good second over C&D. Sheila hasn’t gone this far yet, but it’s not impossible could improve for stepping up.

Oslo looked certain to score last time but perhaps didn’t quite get home and might be better at 1m2f. Providing Marion’s Boy runs to form, he should be there about's at fair odds.

Over at Chepstow in the 1:58. It’s that time of the season when Venetia Williams has the string ready to fire.

Hold That Taught looked in need of a proper test when third at Ascot on his last start. He gets that today and should run well. It’s not surprising to see plenty of money come for him. 9-4 is tight enough but hopeful of a good run.
